Moot House
Commercial
The redevelopment of the Old Moot House public house in Kingston repurposes the building as a luxury boutique hotel, with a bar and restaurant at ground floor and 25 rooms contained above. This required the addition of a new wing to the existing free house building and extensive structural works to the existing building.
Shockledge was appointed by the developer CNM Estates as structural engineer from RIBA Stage 3 through to 5. The scheme allowed for a clear open space at the ground floor, allowing the future restaurant and hotel tenancy to adopt any desired floor layout, free from any structural obstructions.
