The refurbishment of this private residence included an extension at the rear of the building with a feature frameless glass cube and remodelling of the upper floors to create a study and play area at loft level.

Shockledge was appointed as structural engineer for the project because of our architecturally sympathetic approach to engineering spaces. The frameless glazed box and over 3m clear ceiling space, with no interruption from downstand beams or columns, created a very modern space with clean lines.
